Making the most of the rest of your life!
One of the things that mystifies me is the number of people who seem to be in a hurry to grow OLD. I don't know about you, but I am going to do everything in my power to defy the old person mindset.
As a young person, I envisioned that I'd be able to retire at an early age. Well, that ship sailed, due to the reality of raising a family, paying the bills and building a nest egg. But even when the kids were grown and we conceivably had what we would need to leave the workplace, we didn't act. 60 came and went. Good health - such a tremendous blessing - also became a crutch. We thought, "Hey, we're doing great. Why not just work a couple of more years?"
Pulling the retirement trigger is difficult. After all, how much is enough? We worry that we'll outlive our money, and that's really scary. But someone said something to me that changed my whole mindset.
